 Season Recap

Winless a year ago, the the Sheehan High School ice hockey team rebounded to an 8-10-2 record.  A strong offense was led by center John Slocum in both goals and assists with 15 and 16 respectively.  Along with Slocum were seniors Ken Cairns scoring 7 goals and Steve Selvaggi with 10 goals.  The second line included John Parker, Cary Schapira, Paul McCarthy, Stu Schouten, Don Moran, Bob Donovan, and Dennis Mills, whose combine efforts netted 19 goals during the campaign.

Leading the defense, senior co-captain Chris Dellaselva, along with Tom Labombard, Eric Soderland and Howie Camolli relieved the opposing pressure.

Goaltending was shared by Graham Smith, averaging an astonishing 40 saves per game, and Mike Sgambati, knocking out 30 a game.  With many young player returning, Sheehan may bid for a tournament appearance next season.
