1985-1986 Mark T. Sheehan High School Hockey Alumni Recap

1985-1986 Mark T. Sheehan Ice Hockey Team

 Season Recap

The Sheehan High School Hockey team's hopes for a postseason bid in 1986 were melted once again this season.  The first line was composed of Gary Velardi, Brian Albert and sophomores Marc Brooks and Craig Allard.   Second line players Todd Houston, Rusty Camolli, Bill Lyons and Jim Limosani are all returning next season.  An excellent defense was led by Dennis Mills, Steve Ujvari, Howie Camolli and goalie Scott Michonski.

The best offensive game was the first game against Shelton.  It was the first time in several years that a Sheehan team reached double-digits against an opponent.  The best defensive game was the second game against Shelton.  It was a total team effort with Scott Michonski turning in the shutout.  The best overall games were against Joel Barlow.  Sheehan dominated the games totally, outshooting Joel Barlow by a wide margin both times.

Sheehan will have to fill a lot of spaces next year losing left wing Gary Velardi, center Brian albert and important defensive players Dennis Mills, Howie Camolli and Steve Ujvari.
