Sheehan Hockey rallies, freezes Fairfield

Brendan Kane scores the game-winning goal as Sheehan Hockey defeats Fairfield Warde/Ludlowe, 5-4.
WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT - The Sheehan hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit in the third period, scoring the tying and winning goals in a 33-second span, to beat Fairfield 5-4 Wednesday night at the Choate rink.
Brendan Kane’s third goal of the night, set up by Tyler Timek, put the Titans on top with just under three minutes to play.
Kane’s goal came on the heels of a strike by Mike Busillo that erased the 4-2 gap Sheehan had taken into the final period after Fairfield scored four times in the second stanza.
Timek had four assists on the night. T.K. Kiernan scored one goal and had two assists.
Goalie Cameron Sidwell made 25 saves to help Sheehan improve to 10-3.
Dan O’ Rourke had 19 stops for the Fairfield co-op team.
